CLIFFORD – A public meeting in Minto tomorrow afternoon will discuss the construction of 4 – 4 unit street townhomes with a reduced lot area of 240 square metres per dwelling unit.
A hold is proposed to be added to the property until servicing is provide for the land located at 24 Minto St North in Clifford.
However, one resident sent a letter to the town voicing their displeasure with the idea.
Stating they are opposed to the necessary rezoning, the letter reads the resident “can not help but feel that this is an extreme overbuilding on a one-acre plot of land.”
Traffic concerns are noted along with potential pressures on council to upgrade other streets.
The letter goes on to say with 16 families there, and about 20-30 cars, “not to mention boats, campers, ATV’s,” Queen Street West from Minto North to Elora Street North could become very busy.
The rezoning would require further support from council at a later council meeting.
The meeting gets underway tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m.
