CENTRE WELLINGTON – It was a busy weekend for both local hockey teams.
The Fergus Whalers kick off their weekend with a trip to the North Huron Wescast Community Centre, on Saturday where they beat the Wingham Ironmen 5-1.
Fergus returned home on Sunday, hosting the Walkerton Capitals, where they got a 4-3 win.
The Whalers were in Mitchell on Family Day to face the Hawks, Fergus came out with a 1-0 win.
The Fergus Whalers next home game will be this Friday at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex when they take on the Wingham Ironmen.
Meanwhile, on Friday the Elora Rocks were in Woodstock where they lost to the Lakers 3-2.
On Saturday, Elora fell to the Stratford fighting Irish 8-4.
The Rocks next home game will be this Friday at the Elora Community Centre when they take on the Orangeville Blitz.
