PUSLINCH – The township of Puslinch could be getting a couple new fire trucks.
A report to head before council tomorrow seeks council approval to award a single source purchase for the replacement of Puslinch Fire and Rescue Service’s (PFRS) Pump 31 Truck.
The report says the truck is a 2005 model with a 20-year lifespan.
The Township’s fire chief did not recommend a pumper/tanker combination as this would impact the Township’s “Tanker Shuttle Accreditation.”
The recommendation is to find additional funds, upping the forecasted $950,000 to $1.5 million to accommodate both trucks’ costs.
The report will head before Puslinch staff at the meeting beginning at 9 a.m.
