GUELPH – A Guelph man faces child pornography charges after officers searched a Guelph home Thursday.
The Guelph Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit began an investigation in January into allegations of child sexual abuse images being shared online.
On Thursday morning, police say officers with the ICE and Technological Crimes units executed a warrant at a home near Elmira Road South and Fife Road.
“Evidence was found and several electronic storage devices were seized for further examination,” police said in a news release.
A 55-year-old Guelph man is charged with possessing child pornography, accessing child pornography and distributing child pornography.
The man will will appear in court in March.
