CENTRE WELLINGTON – A Friday afternoon collision has led to life-threatening injuries for a Mount Forest driver and prompted a lengthy road closure.
In an email to The Grand at 101, Constable Joshua Cunningham stated OPP responded to the crash, on Wellington Road 18, east of Fergus, at around 12:45 p.m.
Police say initial reports indicated a black SUV had left the roadway, and the driver was seriously injured, and members of the Centre Wellington Fire Rescue and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service responded.
The 47-year-old driver was transported to hospital.
Cunningham says crews expect to have the roadway closed till dusk.
