WELLINGTON COUNTY – In an effort to facilitate the way families can find or apply for child care, the County of Wellington announced Monday they will be launching a new centralized application and waitlist for licensed child care.
The ‘Wellington-Guelph Child Care Application and Waitlist,’ the county says in a news release, will introduce numerous convenient features aimed to meet the needs of families.
Mandy Koroniak, the county’s director of children’s early years, says ease of access was a big focus while developing the application.
Koroniak added the application will bring a variety of new features to the table.
Warden Andy Lennox says the introduction of the new system reflects the county’s commitment to finding innovative solutions that address the needs of residents.
Koroniak went on to say there’s still more to come in the area of child care beyond just the release of this new tool.
The application is set to launch in April of 2024.
