NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
The Ministry of Education has approved Wellington Catholic District School Board’s elementary and secondary school year calendars for the 2024-2025 school year. The school year calendar information provides parents with a list of important dates, such as PA Days and holidays.
Each year, the school year calendar is circulated as a draft to various stakeholder groups including parent groups, staff, partner associations, the student transportation consortium, and seeks alignment with the co-terminus school board, Upper Grand District School Board, to create operational efficiencies.
Under the new approved calendar, the 2024-25 school year will begin on Wednesday September 4, 2024. Schools will be closed for Christmas holidays Monday, December 23, 2024, with students returning after the holidays on Monday, January 6, 2025. March Break will take place between Monday, March 10, 2025, and Friday March 14, 2025. The last day of school for secondary students will fall on June 25, 2025 and June 26, 2025 for elementary students.
