ARTHUR – Wellington North will be taking the opportunity to celebrate volunteers and newcomers to the community with an event in April.
The night will be complete with a cake-cutting and mayor’s welcome with Mayor Andy Lennox. It will take place on Thursday, April 18th at the Arthur & Area Community Centre.
The township invites service and community groups to join the event so they can provide information to attendees about available services, events, and local organizations. Welcome, speeches and presentations will start at 5:00pm followed by the cake cutting.
Celebrating Global Volunteer month, which takes place in April, and National Volunteer Week, which kicks off on the 21st, the township says those new to the community can learn more about their home and grab a recycling bin if they haven’t already.
