FERGUS – “That’s all she wrote!”
The Fergus Whalers first season in the Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) came to an end on Sunday afternoon.
Coming off a 3-1 win at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex on Wednesday night; the Whalers tied the semi final series with the Hanover Barons 2-2.
The series resumed on Friday night in Hanover, where the Barons got a 4-2 win over the Whalers, taking Game 5.
Back in Fergus on Sunday for Game 6, Hanover secured their spot in the PJHL Pollock Division Final with a 2-1 win over Fergus to take the semi final series.
The Whalers have now been eliminated from the PJHL playoffs.
“We are incredibly proud of this group”, the Whalers team wrote on its social media, also congratulating the Barons on their win.
This was the Fergus Whalers Inaugural season in the PJHL.
