CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Elora and Fergus Downtown Shuttle Program is back for another season. Every weekend, the shuttle will take visitors and residents downtown, allowing them to park in areas outside of the downtown core.
The complimentary service begins Saturday, May 18 and ends on Sunday, September 8. On long weekends the shuttle will operate on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Like last year, there will be a tourism ambassador on board for every single ride, supporting visitors and residents and promoting the area’s festivals, events, and local businesses.
The “Talent On Board” program is also back on. It will promote emerging young talent and provide entertainment to shuttle users.
The shuttle will operate from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., leaving the Grand River Raceway every hour, on the hour. There is a new stop this year, outside the downtown core at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex. Other stops include:
- MacDonald Square
- Elora Centre for the Arts/Bissell Park
- Wellington County Museum and Archives
- Fergus Marketplace
- Centre Wellington Sportsplex
The Downtown Shuttle Program is a collaboration between The County of Wellington, Elora BIA, Fergus BIA, Grand River Agricultural Society and the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce.
