CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Elora & Fergus Downtown Shuttle Program is back for another season.
Every weekend this summer, a shuttle bus will be available to transport visitors and residents to downtown Elora and Fergus.
The township says the shuttle bus will allow visitors to park in areas outside of our downtown cores and be transported – free of charge – to key areas of the Township.
The shuttle bus officially started today (May 18th), and will end on Sunday, September 8.
On long weekends, the shuttle bus will operate on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
“In a continuation from last year, a Tourism Ambassador will be on board every single ride to provide support to visitors and residents while promoting our festivals, events, and local businesses,” the Township said in an earlier news release.
In addition, the “Talent on Board” program will continue which features local musicians with a focus on promoting emerging young talent as well as providing entertainment to those who use the shuttle.
“We hope to create another memorable summer for those who use the shuttle and set Elora and Fergus apart from other destinations.”
The shuttle bus will operate from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, leaving the Grand River Raceway (7445 Wellington County Rd 21, Elora) every hour, on the hour, beginning at 11:00 am, and the last trip will take place at 5:00 pm.
Every hour, the shuttle will leave the Grand River Raceway Facility and transport passengers to the following locations:
- MacDonald Square
- Elora Centre for the Arts/Bissell Park

- Centre Wellington Sportsplex
The route will start over at 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 4:00pm, and 5:00pm on weekends throughout the summer.
