FERGUS – Starting tonight (May 21st) the Township of Centre Wellington will conduct its annual watermain flushing north of Garafraxa Street and east of St. David St North in Fergus.
In a notice, the township says to reduce customer inconvenience, watermain flushing operations are conducted overnight, between the hours of 9:00 pm and 5:00 am, Monday to Friday.
The township says water at your home may be discoloured after watermain cleaning.
It is recommended that customers fully open their cold water faucets to flush this water out. In most cases, the water should begin to run clear again within a few minutes.
In cases where discoloured water or drop in pressure lasts for an extended period of time, contact the township.
The watermain flushing in Fergus runs May 21st to 31st.
