GUELPH – Three teens including two from Fergus have been arrested following an assault in Guelph on Sunday.
Just before 6:25pm, Guelph Police say an adult female had just finished bathing her 18-month-old daughter inside their residence located near the intersection of Willow Road and Edinburgh Road North in Guelph, when she heard a knock at her front door and opened it to find an unknown male teenager standing on the front step.
Police say two more teenaged males wearing masks and carrying a tire iron and metal rod then ran from around the corner of the house, pushing their way inside.
“The three males kicked the female in the stomach, pushed the daughter against the wall, and then proceeded into the living room to confront an adult male. They then began striking the male in the head with the tire iron before they fled the residence on foot,” police said in a news release.
All three victims were transported to the Guelph General Hospital to assess and treat their injuries.
