ELORA – The Elora Centre for the Arts is hosting its first ever summer concert series.
The series will feature a range of genres from classic country, to singer/songwriter and 70’s and 80’s nostalgia.
There are six concerts in the series and all will be held in the new Pavilion in the yard at the Centre.
Last year, Lianne Carter, executive director of the Centre said they tested the idea with a community barbecue and live music and the result was incredible.
“We all just sat back and said ‘This is community, this is what it means to live in a great place,'” explained Carter. “When people say ‘Wow there’s something magical about living here.’ This is the kind of thing that makes it magical.”
Carter says the series would not have been possible without the support of their sponsors, Sorbara Group of Companies, Tribute Homes, The County of Wellington, and The Centre Wellington Community Foundation.
At select concerts there will be a chicken barbecue dinner if you pre-order. Each concert will feature a cash bar and snacks.
The first concert is Thursday night featuring country music artist Jessica Sevier who is known for her new country-rock single Legends of the Summer. There is a cash bar and snack available for purchase at all of the events. You can find the full line-up here.
