NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(TOWNSHIP OF Guelph Eramosa, ON) – On August 8, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious, motor vehicle collision on Wellington Road 51, north of Guelph. Initial reports indicated that a red sedan had left the roadway, and the driver was seriously injured.
Emergency services responded. The lone occupant of the vehicle, a 29-year-old driver from Listowel was transported by Orange Air Ambulance to a trauma centre with life threatening injuries.
Reconstructionist from the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) team are expected to have the roadway closed till late evening.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation and anyone with information related to it is asked to call 1-888-310-1122.
