FERGUS – One person is facing charges after the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint of a driver that could not maintain their lane.
On August 14, 2024, at 10:45 a.m., the Wellington County OPP received a traffic complaint advising that a sport utility vehicle was unable to maintain its lane on Highway 6 in the Town of Fergus.
OPP located the motor vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. As a result of the investigation a
62-year-old Guelph man was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
Failure or refusal to comply with demand
Dangerous operation
Resist peace officer
Flight from peace officer
The accused is scheduled to appear in Court later this month.
