GUELPH – A Guelph man was arrested for murder Saturday morning after a woman was found dead in her apartment.
Just before 8am, Guelph Police say male attended the police station suffering from obvious injuries. Based on information provided, officers attended an apartment unit near Waterloo Avenue and Edinburgh Road South where they found a female dead.
Police say the parties are known to each other and there is no threat to public safety.
A 50-year-old Guelph man is charged with second-degree murder, remains in custody, and will appear in court by video on Tuesday.
The investigation is ongoing.
