FERGUS – The Township of Centre Wellington will be conducting fire flow testing today (August 27th) in Fergus.
The township says fire flow testing involves operation of hydrants at high flows and volumes which can cause discoloured water.
The testing will be conducted in south Fergus and may result in discoloured water to residents in the area highlighted on the map below.
Residents who experience discoloured water are urged to turn on a cold water tap nearest to the water meter and allow the water to flush slowly for several minutes until it runs clear.
