FERGUS – The Fergus Fall Fair has announced the 2024-2025 Fair Ambassador.
Emily Younghans, 21, of Fergus, was one of four competitors who participated in the Fergus Agricultural Society’s 44th ambassador program held on Sunday at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex.
In a media release, the Fergus Fall Fair says Youghans is in her fourth year of studying biochemical engineering at the University of Guelph and has a keen interest in agriculture. She is actively involved with a local 4-H dairy club and competes as a wrestler and rugby player.
“In the year-long ambassador role, Younghans will represent the Fergus Agricultural Society at the Fergus Fall Fair and other community events. She will participate in the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS) convention and Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) ambassador program in 2024.”
Other contestants were Sarah Shaw, Hailey Moyer and Arielle Bauman. All four participants completed an interview with a panel of judges, created a display board about themselves, presented a speech and answered an impromptu question.
