(CENTRE WELLINGTON) – Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a dog bite that occurred on Tower Street, Fergus. Owner unknown.
On October 1, 2024, shortly after 9:00 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a dog bite that occurred on Tower Street, Fergus.
As the local resident attended the business, two dogs were reported to have been tied-up outside the front door where the incident took place.
As a result of the incident, the resident sustained an injury deemed to be minor in nature and did not seek medical attention at the scene. It was reported later that the resident attended a local hospital to get treatment as a precaution. Public Health was notified.
At this time, the investigation is ongoing and the Wellington County OPP is seeking public assistance to identify the owner of the involved dogs. The dogs were described as large in size and darker in colour.
