ONTARIO – A national test of Canada’s emergency ‘Alert Ready’ system will take place Wednesday afternoon in Wellington County and across the province.
Alert Ready is designed to send out critical and potentially life-saving alerts to Canadians including tornadoes, flooding, fires and AMBER alerts.
In a post to X, Alert Ready says it will be conducting tests across most provinces and territories to ensure the system’s readiness in the case of an emergency.
The test will be sent to TV, radio (including The Grand at 101), and compatible wireless devices at 12:55 pm in Ontario.
