CENTRE WELLINGTON – It was another busy weekend of hockey for the Elora Rocks and Fergus Whalers.
The Rocks kicked off the action at home on Friday night at the Jefferson Elora Community Centre taking on the Petrolia Squires, the Rocks lost 7-3.
On Saturday, the Rocks were in Stratford to take on the Fighting Irish, Elora came out on top winning 2-0.
Meanwhile, the Fergus Whalers were on the road Saturday night in Mitchell to take on the Hawks, Fergus got a 7-5 win.
The Whalers were scheduled to play at home yesterday for their 2nd annual teddy bear toss and toy drive game against the Kincardine Bulldogs.
However, in a post to social media, the Fergus Whalers said the game had been postponed.
Kincardine noted not feeling safe making the trip due to the weather.
A make up date will be scheduled later in the season, and the Whalers organizations says it will have updates to the Teddy Bear toss this week.
