WELLINGTON COUNTY – Trees for Tots is back for it 13th year of supporting the community through a one-day donation-for-service event.
The annual event, hosted by the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington, will take place in Guelph, Puslinch, and Rockwood.
For a suggested minimum contribution of $15, residents can register to have their Christmas trees picked up from their curb after the holidays. The collected trees are chipped and repurposed for various community projects, including creek restoration and walking trails.
Registration for tree pick-up is open until 12:00pm noon on January 7th, 2025, with pick-up scheduled for Saturday, January 11th, 2025. Residents can register for tree pick-up at www.treesfortots.ca or by telephone at 519-826-9551 ext. 125.
Last year, Trees for Tots collected over 3,600 trees and raised over $93,000, showcasing the significant impact of this initiative in addressing the community’s growing needs.
