GUELPH – A Fergus man is dead after he was struck by a city bus in downtown Guelph Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called at 1:37 p.m. to the intersection of Wyndham Street North and Carden Street.
Guelph Police say the investigation revealed a 49-year-old Fergus man was struck as he crossed Wyndham Street.
“The male was extricated from under the bus by Guelph Fire Department personnel but pronounced dead a short time later,” police said in a news release.
The collision remains under investigation.
