Last year, funds raised went towards Minto Minor Hockey, but this year the raised money will go towards a different cause near and dear to both organizations. It will support the Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation’s MRI+ Campaign.
Matthew Burton, Wellington County OPP’s Media Relations Officer, says while there is some provincial funding available, community aid is still crucial.
Jess Martin, a volunteer firefighter with the Minto Fire Department, who was involved in planning the event, says using your position to create good is also vital.
The game will get going at 7 p.m. tomorrow night at the Palmerston Arena.
