WELLINGTON COUNTY – Local mental health is being put on the forefront, specifically for youth. A recent donation to the Grove Hubs is being dubbed “vital” for young people in the community.
It was local mental health advocacy group Get In Touch for Hutch that donated $5,000 to the Grove Youth Wellness Hubs.

Steven’s mother, Myrna Hutchison, started Get in Touch for Hutch back in 2013 when she lost her son Steven to suicide.
Hutchison, chairperson of Get In Touch for Hutch, explains from the outset of the organization, it was pertinent to see more local supports for mental health.
Meanwhile Jeff Hoffman, the Grove Youth Wellness Hubs executive director, says this donation will help staff the hubs with a very important piece to the experience of youth wellbeing.
Hoffman continued to say the donation was matched by cooperators, and will make a $10,000 impact.
Hutchison reiterated while physical health needs are always taken care of, there still needs to be a focus on mental health within the community.
The goal of the wellness hubs, Hoffman explains, is to catch things and solve them earlier. He went on to say this generous gift from Hutchison aids the hubs in those missions of intervention and prevention.
Get in Touch for Hutch has donated more than $36,000 to The Grove Hubs since 2021.
