FERGUS – Groves Hospital Foundation say they were very appreciative of an unexpectedly rapid fundraising effort.
The foundation raised $2 million in less than a year. Announcing the need for the funds in just the spring of 2024, a 1 million dollar anonymous donor and the general support of the community guided the foundation to their goal.
Executive Director Lori Arsenault says the money will purchase a new CT scanner. She says this new one will drastically increase efficiency in the department.
Arsenault went on to say a mobile CT unit has been and will continue to bridge the gap while the fresh unit is installed.
Arsenault was sure to thank the community for their generosity. She says there’s still work to be done fundraising for another list of equipment.
The new CT Scanner is expected to be installed in March.
