GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP – One person is deceased as a result of a motor vehicle collision.
On February 28, 2025, at approximately 6:45 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and local emergency services responded to a three-vehicle collision on Wellington Road 51, near Ariss.
The collision involved two pick-up trucks and a sedan. As a result, one of the drivers, a 28-year-old from Waterloo, was pronounced deceased on scene. No other injuries were reported.
The roadway was closed for several hours and have since been reopened.
Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) team has attended the scene and is assisting with the investigation. The office of the Chief Coroner was notified and attended the scene. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
