CENTRE WELLINGTON – It was another busy weekend of playoff hockey for both the Elora Rocks and Fergus Whalers.
On Friday night, the Elora Rocks were eliminated by the Strathroy Jets in Game 5 of the quarterfinal round.
Strathroy took the series 4-1, with a 6-1 win at the Jefferson Elora Community Centre.
In a post to social media, the Rocks thanked the players, fans, and the community for their “unwavering support” after their season came to a close.

Meanwhile, the Fergus Whalers Junior Hockey Club kicked off the second round of the PJHL Playoffs with a loss.
Game 1 against the Mount Forest Patriots was Saturday night at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex, Fergus lost 2-1.
However, the Whalers rebounded in Game 2 yesterday afternoon with a 6-3 win over the Patriots at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex.
The series is now tied 1-1.
