CENTRE WELLINGTON – Levels of service frameworks “set the expectations for municipal futures and detail provided services.” Centre Wellington endorsed theirs last night on the path towards a 2025 asset management plan update.
The report before council at the meeting was dubbed the culmination of efforts in concert with consultant SLBC Inc. who helped put together the framework.
Adam McNabb, township Managing Director of Corporate Services & Treasurer, says its value lies within setting goals and leading the way to future strategies.
McNabb says while this decision may seem inconspicuous, the framework and in turn the asset management plan will influence budget decisions down the line.
McNabb went on to say community engagement will highlight this process, as more will be rolled out in the future in the form of infographics.
He added this plan will be monitored as it guides the township through the next handful of years.
A five-step process is recommended for Centre Wellington to implement the levels of service framework.
