NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – One person suffered serious injuries as a result of a motor vehicle collision.
On March 26, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and local emergency services responded to a two-vehicle collision on the Hanlon Parkway near Willow Road, in the City of Guelph.
The collision involved a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and dump truck towing a trailer. As a result, one of the drivers, a 43-year-old from Guelph, was transported to a trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The northbound lanes on the Hanlon Parkway were closed for approximately four and a half hours and have since been reopened.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
