GUELPH – Two Guelph brothers were arrested Friday as part of an ongoing child pornography investigation.
Last October, Guelph Police received information from the US-based National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children about child pornography being uploaded to social media from a Guelph address.
In a news release Monday, police said that in February officers executed a search warrant at an address and seized nine electronic devices for further examination. As a result of those examinations, two Guelph men were arrested Friday.
A 21-year-old man and a 20-year-old man are each charged with possessing and accessing child pornography.
Police say the younger brother is also charged with making child pornography available. Both will appear in court next month.
This investigation was made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
