ERIN – The Town of Erin is hosting an evening of live music and fun at the annual Shamrock Awards Ceremony on April 16 in recognition of outstanding residents.
Emcee, Mayor Michael Dehn, will host the event inside the theatre, following a proclamation by Andrew Welch, Town Crier.
There will be nine awards given recognizing outstanding achievements and contributions to the community, including volunteerism, business, environmentalism and more. Recipients will be announced at the event.
There are three new awards being bestowed this year: the Arts and Culture Award, Sports Achievement Award and Contribution to Canadian Industry.
“It is an honour to be able to recognize the hard work and dedication that makes this community special,” said Mayor Dehn. “Please join us to celebrate people who help make this town a place we are proud to call home.”
Enjoy music from the Erin District High School TEMPO Band, Erin’s Young at Heart Singers and Band, delightful hors d’oeuvres from Carney Kitchen and Catering, and even guest photos from Hollow Hills Photography.
The ceremony will be held on April 16 at 5 p.m. inside the theatre at Centre 2000, 14 Boland Dr., Erin.
