GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP – Wellington County OPP have charged a Guelph resident following a collision in Guelph/Eramosa Township.
On April 22, 2025, at around 8:45 p.m., OPP attended the scene of a single motor-vehicle collision, where the vehicle had rolled multiple times, knocking down hydro-poles and wires, causing significant damage and causing the entire road to be closed. The driver sustained minor injuries, was assessed medically by paramedics, but not required to attend local hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
As a result of this investigation, a 46-year-old of Guelph is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on May 6. 2025.
