WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Ontario government has announced nearly $20 million in funding to over 350 festivals and events across the province, including over $535,000 into local events in Wellington-Halton Hills.
In a press release on Thursday, the province says the funding is made possible through the 2025 Experience Ontario program and will help boost tourism, strengthen local economies, and celebrate the strong communities across Ontario.
“Our government is proud to support a few of the incredible events that take place throughout Wellington-Halton Hills”, said Joseph Racinsky, MPP for Wellington-Halton Hills. “Thank you to all the volunteers that make these events possible.”
The recipients in Wellington-Halton Hills include:
- Riverfest Elora – $125,000
- Major League Show Jumping Erin – $125,000
- Hillside Festival – $125,000
- Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games – $55,000
- The Elora Festival – $55,000
- Eden Mills Writer’s Festival – $30,250
- Tractor Tunes Bluegrass Fest – $20,000
