ONTARIO – A national test of Canada’s emergency ‘Alert Ready’ system will take place this afternoon (Wednesday) in Wellington County and across the province.
Alert Ready is Canada’s national emergency alert system, designed to send out critical and potentially life-saving alerts to Canadians.
Alert Ready says during emergency preparedness week (May 4th-10th), they will be testing their system in most provinces, including in Ontario at 12:55 pm on Wednesday, to ensure it operates as intended on TV, radio, & wireless devices.
