NEWS RELEASE TOWN OF ERIN
Erin, ON – The Town of Erin is pleased to announce the appointment of Omega Canine Control Services Inc. as the municipality’s new animal control provider, effective May 12, 2025.
As part of this change, the Town is now offering animal control response 24-hours a day, significantly enhancing service to the community.
Omega Canine Control Services, a locally owned company based in Erin, has extensive experience and a strong commitment to community safety and animal welfare.
“By moving to a 24/7 response model and working with a trusted local provider, we are improving the safety and well-being of both residents and animals in our community,” said Mayor Michael Dehn.
The company is operated by Robert McIntosh, who previously served as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer. His background in municipal enforcement and his local roots make him a valuable asset to the Town’s by-law enforcement team.
“We are continually working hard to improve service levels for residents as we prepare Erin for the future, and we look forward to the high standard of service that Omega Canine Control Services will bring to the Town of Erin,” said Nina Lecic, Director of Legislative Services and Town Clerk.
Under this new arrangement, Omega Canine Control Services will be responsible for all matters related to canine control as outlined in the Town of Erin Dog Control By-law #15-57.
When to call Canine Control:
· to report a dog running loose
· if a pet is bitten by another animal
