NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(GUELPH, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is continuing to investigate a fatal collision in the City of Guelph.
On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Wellington County OPP responded to a collision involving two vehicles on the Hanlon Parkway. One person with life-threatening injuries was located at the scene upon police arrival. The individual was transported to hospital by ambulance where they were pronounced deceased.
Both vehicles involved in the collision had fled before officers arrived.
Investigators want to speak with the drivers of these vehicles. The first vehicle is described as a grey Toyota Venza Sports Utility Vehicle, with Ontario licence plate CVBX 602. The second vehicle is described as a white Dodge RAM pickup truck with Ontario licence plate BZ 85153.
This investigation by the Wellington County OPP Crime Unit is continuing, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
Investigators are asking residents and businesses in the area to check any video surveillance cameras for relevant images or video in relation to this incident. Police are also asking the members of the motoring public that may have been in the area at the time to check their dash camera video for any relevant images of the incident or the vehicles involved.
