UPDATED – A Guelph man has been arrested in connection with a hit and run collision Sunday morning.
Just before 9 a.m. Sunday, a delivery truck was struck by a black Hyundai SUV near Paisley Street and Edinburgh Road North. The driver of the heavily-damaged SUV fled northbound on Edinburgh Road.
A member of the public contacted police Monday afternoon after seeing a media release asking for witnesses to come forward. The Hyundai SUV was located in a parking lot on Willow Road.
A 42-year-old Guelph man is charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop after a collision and careless driving. He will appear in court July 22.
GUELPH – The Guelph Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance after a hit and run collision Sunday which left two vehicles heavily damaged.
Just before 9 a.m. a delivery truck was struck by a black Hyundai SUV near Paisley Street and Edinburgh Road North. The driver of the SUV fled northbound on Edinburgh Road.
The Hyundai sustained heavy damage to the left front and will likely be missing its driver’s side headlight and fog light. The driver was described as possibly an Indian male wearing glasses.
