ERIN- The Town of Erin is proudly celebrating June as Recreation and Parks Month (JRPM) with an exciting lineup of free activities designed to bring the community together.
Throughout June, residents of all ages can participate in a diverse range of activities including Pickleball, Roller Skating, Youth Ball Hockey, and more at local facilities across town. This celebration is part of a broader provincial initiative where communities across Ontario recognize the vital role that parks and recreation play in enhancing quality of life. JRPM highlights the physical, social, and environmental benefits of staying active and engaged within our community spaces.
“We’re proud to support Recreation and Parks Month by offering free, inclusive opportunities for residents to enjoy our local facilities and stay active,” says Mayor Dehn. “It’s a wonderful reminder of the power of recreation to bring people together and enhance our quality of life.” Access to parks and recreational opportunities is fundamental to personal well-being and community vitality. The initiative is supported by Parks and Recreation Ontario (PRO), a non-profit association dedicated to advancing the health, social, and environmental benefits of quality recreation and park services throughout the province.
