MAPLETON – On June 7, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with other emergency services, responded to a collision at McGivern Street near Booth Street in Moorefield.
It was reported that a single motor vehicle had collided with a pole.
The lone occupant was transported by ambulance to a local hospital as a precaution.
As a result of the investigation, an 84-years-old man of Mapleton Township was charged with Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) contrary to the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on June 17, 2025.
