NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges Everett resident with five provincial offences.
On June 10, 2025, at approximately 6:45 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were performing a proactive traffic enforcement initiative, which resulted in a traffic stop being conducted on Union Street West within Fergus.
As a result of the investigation, a 59-year-old from Everett is charged under the Highway Traffic Act and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:
- Red light – fail to stop
- Drive motor vehicle – no licence
- Draw trailer, no permit
- Drive motor vehicle, no permit
- Fail to have insurance card
