WELLINGTON COUNTY – Supporting local has never been more important, and the County of
Wellington’s Taste Real programme is making it easier than ever to connect with Wellington
County’s vibrant food community. The award-winning Farmers’ Market Box Series is back and
has partnered with all seven farmers’ markets in Wellington County and the City of Guelph to
deliver curated taste experiences directly to your door.
Every two weeks, the Market Box Series features a carefully selected collection of local food
and seasonal goods from a different farmers’ market, highlighting the unique flavours, vendors,
and products that make each location special. Market Boxes are available for $59.00 each at
www.wellington.ca/farmersmarket, with both home and delivery options available.
“Our farmers’ markets showcase the heart of our communities,” said Wellington
County Warden, Chris White. “The Market Box Series is a great way to experience the
exceptional quality and variety of local food and products that we’re so proud of here in
Wellington County.”
The 2025 Market Box Series launched in early June with a curated taste experience from the
Guelph Farmers’ Market. Six additional boxes will be available throughout the summer, with
orders closing one week before each delivery date while quantities last.
Upcoming Farmers’ Market Boxes include:
• Elora Farmers’ Market – delivery Tuesday, June 17
• Mapleton Farmers’ Market – delivery Wednesday, July 2
• Rockwood Farmers’ Market – delivery Tuesday, July 15
• Wellington North Farmers’ Market – delivery Tuesday, July 29
• Minto Farmers’ Market – delivery Tuesday, August 12

Also returning for 2025 is the popular Taste Real Farmers’ Market Trail, offering a fun and
interactive way to explore Wellington County’s local markets. Visitors are encouraged to pick
up a Market Trail Passport and collect stamps at their favourite market locations – or make it a
summer-long adventure and visit them all! Participants who submit their completed passports
will be entered to win one of three f armers’ market gift packs valued at $150 each.
“Completing the Market Trail Passport is a special way to celebrate the diversity of our
agricultural community and transform a simple shopping trip into a local culinary adventure,”
commented Councillor Jeff Duncan, chair of the County’s Economic Development Committee.
“It’s so wonderful to see so many Wellington County residents and visitors support local and
discover the unique character of each of Wellington County’s markets.”
