GUELPH – A Tara man has been sentenced after a crash in 2023 on Hwy 6 that killed a 40-year-old Fergus man.
Micheal Shular was sentenced to 7 years in prison at Guelph Court Monday morning.
In April, Shular pleaded guilty to impaired driving causing death.
On December 29th, 2023, two vehicles involving a pickup truck and an SUV, collided head-on on Highway 6 near Eighth Line.
A 40-year-old individual from Fergus was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shular’s sentence includes a driving prohibition that begins immediately and continues for 12 years after he is released.
