GUELPH – A 33-year-old Guelph man was arrested Monday morning for breaking into the residence of an acquaintance and assaulting the male inside.
At around 10:00 AM, the male attended a residence near the area of Paisley Street and Yorkshire Street, where he entered the residence and kicked in the door to the victim’s bedroom, causing the door to break.
The male entered the bedroom, where he hit the victim in the head with a frying pan, proceeding to stick him again with a “Nerf toy” in his face. The victim proceeded to defend himself, causing the male to flee the residence.
The male was located by the Guelph Police Service shortly after, where he was arrested for Break and Enter, Assault with a Weapon (x 2), and Failure to Comply with a Police Undertaking.
The male was transported to the Guelph Police Station, where he was held for a bail hearing.
