CENTRE WELLINTON – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a break, enter, and theft to multiple storage units. Police are seeking public assistance in identifying the suspects.
On July 20, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to a report of a break and enter / theft which occurred at a local business on Gartshore Street in Fergus.

It was determined that on July 20, 2025, between 5:30 a.m. and 6:15 a.m., two suspects broke into three storage units. The suspects stole several items including tires and an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
The ATV was later located abandoned in a nearby field.
The suspects were operating an older model grey Nissan X-Trail with a rear Ontario license plate of CCHZ325. The plate is not registered to this vehicle. The vehicle is equipped with blue LED lights inside the rear hatchback door.
The first suspect is described as male, white, brown hair, with a thin build, wearing a black baseball hat with a white logo, black or dark blue hoody, blue jeans, black gloves, black and white Nike running shoes.
The second suspect is described as male, white, thin build, with short dark brown hair, possibly wearing a thin moustache, high cheek bones, wearing a dark baseball hat with a small white logo, a dark hoody with a large white logo on the front, dark coloured jeans, black and white mechanic’s gloves, and black boots with orange-coloured soles.
