Fergus author Sonia Day has received top honours from GardenComm: Garden Communicators International.
Day received the prestigious honour for her novel, The Newfoundland Lunch Party: A Sisters of the Soil Novel – with Recipes, which blends storytelling, gardening, and culinary inspiration.
The international GardenComm Media Awards celebrate excellence in garden-related communication. This year’s competition attracted more than 125 entries from around the globe across 40 categories.
“These awards recognize the best of the best—communicators who inspire, inform, and elevate the gardening world through outstanding storytelling, imagery, and innovation,” said C.L. Fornari, president of GardenComm.
Winners were announced on July 11 during the organization’s Annual Honors & Awards ceremony at the Gather & Grow Mega Meetup in Columbus, Ohio.
The book is available online and locally at local Pieces Gallery in Fergus, and in Elora at Cordial Clove Books, and Magic Pebble Books
