GUELH – A Guelph teen faces assault and mischief charges after two security guards were assaulted Tuesday.
Just before 5 pm, Guelph Police were called to Stone Road Mall. Security officers had spotted two girls on the property and recognized one of them from a vandalism incident earlier in the month.
Police say they attended and asked the girls to leave, but one refused and became belligerent.
When the officers attempted to arrest her for trespassing, she attempted to knee one security officer and kicked the other one. No injuries were reported.
A 15-year-old Guelph girl is charged with two counts of assault and mischief under $5,000.
