CENTRE WELLINGTON – Wellington County OPP are once again reminding residents not to leave their dogs in their car unattended.
This after a driver in Elora left two dogs unattended, within direct sunlight, with no water, & no way to regulate their own body temperature.
OPP says pets every year go into serious medical distress as a result of these actions.
Police say the two dogs were successfully rescued, and the driver was charged with a $360 fine for putting the animals in distress.
If you spot an animal in distress, give OPP & your local humane society a call.
