The Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games return this weekend for a milestone celebration—its 80th anniversary.
Executive Director Elizabeth Bender says they’re “Pulling out all the stops” to make the 80th anniversary extra special, especially since COVID put a damper on celebrations for the 75th anniversary
Special anniversary events will take place throughout the grounds, including in the dance and heavy events areas, all themed around the number 80. One of the weekend highlights is a Saturday night concert featuring Albannach!, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, and the Bay City Rollers.
Looking ahead, Bender says the future of the festival is bright, with plans to continue evolving while honouring its roots.
